What & How?
YOU decide! The “what and how” will be different for everyone. How you choose to participate should reflect your corporate culture and the resources you have available. How will you prioritize an awareness campaign, employee engagement or spearhead an internal fundraising campaign?
Here is some inspiration to get started:
- Donate a portion of sales throughout the month of May.
- Dress down day – donate a toonie, wear purple.
- Sell purple products.
- Host an internal fundraiser.
- Plan an event.
Set Your Goal
Set a goal, create your plan, and get started! Please visit our Social Media Toolkit page for resources to kickstart your journey, towards and throughout, Lupus Awareness Month.
Get clear on your own measurable outcomes. Here are a few examples:
- Dollar amount that you want to raise.
- Number of people you want to see wearing purple on World Lupus Day (May 10th).
- Set a goal and track internal communication about lupus sent to colleagues.
- # of brochures distributed
- Attendance to an internal event
- Number of purple products sold.
- Number of lupus related internal awareness posts/ external awareness posts.
